.. yesterday was a day of relaxation and I was watching a TV movie set in Sicily. At some point between the scenes of the film http://www.francescoinviaggio.it/SICILIA%20ON%20THE%20ROAD%202011/15)%2018%20Settembre%202011%20-%20Dalle%20montagne%20alla%20Villa%20dei%20Mostri/thumbs/DSC_1546.JPGI recognized a very famous place in Sicily, which was set cinematagrafico of great movies, Villa Palagonia in Bagheria. Built in 1715, is known worldwide as the "Monster House", due to the special decoration that adorns the exterior walls of the lower body, consisting of statues "tufa Aspra", depicting imaginary animals, anthropomorphic figures, statues of ladies and knights, musicians and various cartoons. Despite the hot weather I decided to get a ride alone, making the rounds "deep"! Among the mountains of Ventimiglia di Sicilia I almost made the tour of the Nature Reserve Pizzo Cane and then get in Bagheria after about 100 km. Pending the report .. look at the "monsters"!
