Need Advice..

Hello again friends,
I need some advice about Thassos and Halkidiki, what to do, where to stay and where to eat :D

We have limited time for Halkidiki so cannot go around all three peninsula, i have to choose one.

Well you cannot visit one of the three peninsula even if you wanted. That is for sure. :)

A: is a place where you should visit to go swimming. The beach is called paradise.
B: is a very nice village to go eating. Drive up on the mountain, feel the cold air and enjoy the view.

Of course, riding around the island is always a perfect expierience. I would suggest that you should do that and leave from Prinos (place C) to KAvala.

If you have to choose one of the three of Chalkidiki peninsula, choose the one in the middle...
So you will be able to enjoy the sunrizing from Agio Oros and the sunset from mount Olympos...

For Chalkidiki I would tell you not to lose any peninsula, even on a hurry mode.

Picturesque roads and landscapes will compensate the effort.


For swimming, other forum members, preferably from the Northern Greece, will ‘see’ you through very nice little taverns literally on the beach, heavenly sandy beaches to swim and nice hotels to accommodate.

For Chalkidiki you can enjoy swimming in either 2 legs (peninsulas).
In the middle leg you have to visit "kavourotripes", "platanitsi", "kriaritsi" and any beach you cam find traveling from one place to the other. You have many-many choises for eating. Almost in any village you will meet. Try "5 vimata stin ammo" and "Par a thin allos" close to Sykia. Also you can go to Amouliani island, from Ouranoupolis.
If you choose the 1st leg (the 3rd is Agio Oros) you must visit Poseidi. It is a small peninsula itself and you have to walk on the sand (like beeing in desert:)). You have water and a small umbrella yourself. Nothing exists on it.
Everything east from Kalithea is amazing! The central part of the leg is the most crowded and does not attracts people like us;) (nature lovers:)). But it has amazing night life:ye33:
