Διαβάζω στην wikipedia πως...

οι κινητήρες Boxer πήραν το όνομά τους λόγω του ότι τα εμβόλα (πιστόνια) κινούνται ταυτόχρονα προς τα μέσα και έξω και όχι εναλλάξ όπως σε άλλους κινητήρες, όπως δηλαδή οι μποξέρ συγκρούουν τις γροθιές τους φορόντας τα γάντια πριν από έναν αγώνα μπόξ...
