17 Mar. 2012 "Around the corner a treasure"! 50 km of joy
 

Hi Guys
half a day .. even on the road. It all started with a coffee and croissant appointment with the "fellow snack today"!
We were out of town when passing by a road I asked him, you know .. the old Moorish fortress known as Castle of the Sea Sweet Favara? And 'right here on the corner. So just arrived on the scene, to my surprise, I note that the restoration is well under way, and not only .. there is also one of the leaders who sent us to visit with lots of historical explanation! The day started really well. After the visit we headed up the long road to the town of Santa Flavia century Villa Filangeri visit with its beautiful garden and the adjacent church. A real spettaolo. We also visited the crypt of the church. Very interesting. Then straight into the beautiful coast between Porticello and Aspra. A turquoise sea with great views of St. Elias and then again up to the lighthouse at Capo Zafferano, with the spectacle of the cliffs. A magic ... To finish off lunch at the oldest restaurant in Bagheria "Buttitta" near the station. Seafood salad to smell it, a plate of spaghetti with clams from ecstasy, drowned in a banana almond Marsala and to conclude a Sicilian cannoli!
