Kαι για να μη μας περνάνε και για μ@λ@κες που λέτε έριξα πριν από μερικές μέρες στην BMW MOTORRAD Γερμανίας το ακόλουθο e-mail:

Title: Something Wrong With the Greek BMW dealer?

Greetings from Greece,

I consider my self a Bmw enthusiast for many years. I have a R 80 G/S, 1985 model, which I just stored for future restoring, so I bought a used 2008 twin cylinder BMW F 650 GS. Its an impressive working bike, but as you are surely informed lacks in both seat comfort and wind protection (no, your extra wind shields don't do any help, I 've gone aftermarket outside the company).

Why I am e-mailing you:

I tried to buy the BMW Comfort seat, since I cannot stand the sore butt effect after 30 minutes on the saddle. The BMW dealership told me it costs 387 euros!? This was simply unacceptable, since it is 100 euros more than the price many sites of German BMW dealers give it. I can imagine that if you sell it in Germany around 280 euros it could easily climp up to 300 due to transport cost and the Greek dealers profit. But 387? Come on!

I checked through the net the price of the seat in France and Spain and it is relativelly low.

Is the Greek dealership ripping us off?
Do you have a "sell the goods overpriced" policy in Greece?

I can imagine I might sound rude to you but please consider that the average Greek paycheck is 1/3 of a German one. So note also:
The fact that (over here) we can't choose the seat type upon purchase of a brand new bike.
The fact that I have bought the most expensive bike in its class (midsize on -off) and it has a poorly designed seat to the point I have to buy a new one. Something that happens with every F 650 GS and F 800 GS owner I met! Something that the buyer of the average cheap jap crap wouldn't ever come across!

Your original stock seat on both F 650 GS and F 800GS, is so poorly designed that gives the BMW brand -known for its comfort globetrotting rides- a bad name. One that it does not deserve. You should give the option to the owners of any F GS bike for a very low cost upgrade to the Comfort Seat. Not overcharge it.

This way one might suspect that the seat design was deliberately wrong so that you could make some extra euro, by selling "comfort" seats. And letting this happen is just bad company policy.

Thank you for your time
