Λοιπόν... μετά από μια σύντομη αλληλογραφία με τον κατασκευαστή, διαπιστώθηκαν τα ακόλουθα:

1/ Το support center είναι ένα και αυτό είναι στην Αμερική και μόνο

2/ Αν πάθει κάτι η κάμερα, οι κατά τόπους dealers δεν κάνουν τίποτα παραπάνω από να την επιστρέψουν στο διανομέα απ' όπου την προμηθεύτηκαν και κάποια στιγμή αυτή θα φτάσει μέσω του καναλιού στην Αμερική, όπου είτε θα επισκευαστεί είτε θα αντικατασταθεί εφόσον κριθεί ανεπισκεύαστη

3/ Οι Ελληνικές π@π@ριές (που λέει κι ο Ντινό.. )... περί Serial Numbers, κλπ... ΔΕΝ ευσταθούν σε ΚΑΜΙΑ περίπτωση !!!

Ακολούθως η αλληλογραφία στα Αγγλικά... αν κάποιος χρειαστεί βοήθεια με το κείμενο, ευχαρίστως να βοηθήσω !!!

Ελπίζω να φάνηκα χρήσιμος...

Υ.Γ. Το αστείο είναι στο τέλος.... και φιλαράκια... και μου λέει..... "τράβα κοιμήσου"...

Thank you for contacting us this evening (or morning where you are at!). As long as you keep your proof of purchase or receipt with your order you have a 2 year warranty from the date of purchase. Should any issues come up and you need a warranty camera, you will just need to provide a proof of purchase and you will be set.

Hello Ken and thank you for your prompt response!! I am actually in Greece and it's 2:15 am now!

So, If I may understand from your response, even if I bought the camera through an internet shop in Germany, my warranty is valid to my country (Greece) as well; moreover if I need support, I can go with my proof of purchase to the respective Greek Contour importer. Pls confirm!

That is correct; the warranty will be valid no matter where you are at. If something goes wrong, you will need to go through either us directly here in the USA or through the German retailer you bought the camera from. Either way, we will support it under warranty for the next 2 years.

So, if I am in Greece (as I am now) I can visit a contour dealer in Greece and ask for support I should get it; they cannot track the S/N of the camera and say to me "Oh you bought it from another country; we cannot support it" !!

Pls confirm and I won't bother you more for tonight :-)

No problem, you aren’t bugging me at all! We don’t have support centers around the world (or in Greece for that matter). Our only support center is here in the USA. If you had an issue you can come directly to us to resolve the problem. You can also go through the German retailer you bought the camera from which will save on shipping costs if anything were to happen (they usually don’t!).

Ρε Κώστα, είσαι έξυπνο παλικάρι, που ??σου γράφει ευθέως YES μπορείς να την πας στον GREEK dealer ; όπως για παράδειγμα σου γράφει ξεκάθαρα ότι την στέλνεις σε εμάς ή στη Γερμανία από όπου την αγόρασες.

Αυτό που σωστά σου λέει είναι ότι όσο έχεις την απόδειξη έχεις 2 χρόνια εγγύηση από την εταιρεία. Το θέμα είναι πως θα πάει στην Αμερική.

Οι νόμοι της αγοράς αλλά και η λογική λένε ότι θα πάει μέσω Γερμανίας. Πως έχει δηλαδή την απαίτηση από κάποιον να σε εξυπηρετήσει όταν δεν του έχεις δώσει μισό ευρώ, τι είναι φιλόπτωχο ίδρυμα;

Όσο για το παπαριές σε είχα για πιό ευγενικό, ίσως φταίει το προχωρημένο της ώρας....
